Group of High School Students

The College and Career Coach program is a partnership between Arkansas Career and Technical Education, local school districts, and UA - Pulaski Technical College. Administered by UA - Pulaski Tech, the program currently serves students in eight high schools. We currently have Career Coaches at the following high schools:

  • Little Rock Hall STEAM Magnet
  • Little Rock Southwest Magnet
  • Little Rock West High School of Innovation
  • Little Rock Parkview Arts Science Magnet
  • Little Rock Central
  • Arkansas School for the Deaf
  • Jacksonville Lighthouse Charter High School
  • Jacksonville High School

The purpose of this program is to significantly increase the number of underrepresented students who enter and remain in postsecondary education; knowledge of and participation in work base learning opportunities, exposure to all forms of postsecondary career trainings and certifications, and assist with financial aid information and applications.

Career Coaches offer the following:

  • Free Accuplacer Testing
  • Classroom Guest Speakers
  • Career Exploration Camps
  • Field Trips (College and Industry)
  • Arkansas College Application Campaign Events
  • Financial Aid Workshops
  • Scholarship Assistance
  • One-on-One Meeting with Career Coach
