Accreditation Information

  • UA - Pulaski Technical College is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission (www.hlcommission.org), a regional accreditation agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.
  • UA-Pulaski Technical College is also approved by the Arkansas Division of Higher Education (ADHE) to offer and award certificates and associate degrees.
  • The Automotive Technology program is certified as a master-level training program by the Automotive Service Excellence Foundation (ASE).
  • The Aviation Maintenance Technology programs are certified by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).
  • The Cosmetology program is licensed by the Cosmetology Section of the Arkansas Department of Health.
  • The Culinary Arts and Baking and Pastry Arts programs are accredited by the American Culinary Federation Education Foundation (ACFEF). These programs have achieved Recognition of Quality Education by the World Association of Chefs Societies.
  • The Dental Assisting program is accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation of the American Dental Association (CODA).
  • The Diesel Technology program is accredited by the Automotive Service Excellence Education Foundation (ASE) in Inspection, Maintenance, and Minor Repair.
  • The Early Childhood Program is accredited by the National Association for the Education of the Young Child (NAEYC).
  • The Emergency Medical Sciences programs are approved by the Arkansas Department of Health (ADH), Section of Emergency Medical Services (EMS).
  • The Emergency Medical Sciences - Paramedic program is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) upon the recommendation of the Committee on Accreditation of Educational Programs for the Emergency Medical Services Professions (CoAEMSP).
  • The Health Information Technology program is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Health Informatics and Information Management Education (CAHIIM).
  • The Hospitality Management program is accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Programs in Hospitality Administration (ACPHA).
  • The Medication Assistant certificate program is approved by the Arkansas State Board of Nursing (ASBN).
  • The Nursing Assistant program is approved by the Arkansas Department of Human Services, Division of Medical Services, Office of Long-Term Care.
  • The Occupational Therapy Assistant program is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education (ACOTE) of the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA), www.acoteonline.org.
  • The Practical Nursing program is approved by the Arkansas State Board of Nursing (ASBN).
  • The Radiography program is accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT).
  • The Respiratory Therapy program is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoARC), www.coarc.com.
  • The Surgical Technology program is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP - www.caahep.org) upon the recommendation of the Accreditation Review Committee in Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (ARC/STSA - www.arcstsa.org). 
  • Courses in the Wine and Spirits are accredited by the London, England Wine and Spirits Education Trust (WSET).
  • The College is also approved by the Arkansas State Approving Agency for Veterans Training.
